DICTATIONS

 

Things to remember:

• Include an indication summary

• Don't forget to mention that a time out for patient safety was performed

• Local anesthesia

• Port site diameters, port types, scope diameter, etc.

• Include details of the findings in the body of the dictation, especially areas where there was special attention to the given indication  

• Try to use correct verbage and grammar

• Always end with a statement that the attending was present and scrubbed for the entire procedure (esp clinic cases)
